2019 Ram 1500 Power & Handling

The Ram 1500's engine lineup consists of two outstanding powerhouses! The standard engine, a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, pumps out up to 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. This engine is equipped with a brand new eTorque mild-hybrid system that utilizes a 48-volt battery and motor generator to boost torque when the situation calls for it and enhancing the fuel economy. The second engine offered is a 5.7-liter V8 that cranks out up to 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. This engine can be had with or without the new mild-hybrid eTorque technology. Both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations are available for all trim levels.

2019 Ford F-150 Power & Handling

The Ford F-150 offers a lineup of six engines and most of them are tied to certain trim levels. Up first is the standard 3.3-liter V6 engine that generates up to 290 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. You can find more power with the available 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that creates up to 325 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. A 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine is also available, producing up to 375 hp and 470 pound-feet of torque. Some models are powered by a 5.0-liter V8 that outputs up to 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The final, and most powerful, engine is a 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 that generates up to 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. Both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations are available.

2019 Ram 1500 Features & Design

The Ram brand is offering the full-size 1500 pickup truck in seven trim levels for the 2019 model year. The base Tradesman model starts the lineup off with standard equipment that includes features like trailer sway control, heated side mirrors, Bluetooth, a 5" touchscreen, cruise control, dual USB ports, rear seat charging USB ports, air conditioning, a rearview camera, locking tailgate, and automatic headlights. The upper trim levels build upon the Tradesman model with features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front bucket seats, keyless entry, front and rear parking sensors, a 7" or 9.4" touchscreen, nine-speaker audio system, navigation, automatic wipers, power tailgate release, heated and ventilated seats, and so much more!

2019 Ford F-150 Features & Design

There are six Ford F-150 trim levels available for the 2019 model year. The base XL trim level comes outfitted with standard features like trailer sway control, manual mirrors and windows, air conditioning, rearview camera, four-speaker audio system, a 4.2-central display screen, cloth upholstery, automatic headlights an high beams, and pre-wired trailer connections. The higher trim levels add upon the XL trim level with features like larger wheels, a trailer hitch, driver-seat memory functions, keyless entry and ignition, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, and ambient lighting. Overall, a lot of the features you need to make the F-150 a worthy investment are stuck in expensive packages.

Conclusions

The Ford F-150 gave it a good try but the 2019 Ram 1500 is the way to go!
