2020 Jeep Renegade vs Nissan Rogue Sport Kansas City KS
2020 Jeep Renegade vs 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport
The Jeep Renegade offers a unique design that is both fun and stylish, while the 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport looks similar to the Nissan Rogue but comes in a more compact size. The smaller size of both of these SUVs makes traversing around city streets a piece of cake. Beyond their small size, these SUVs offer capability, driver assistance features, and more! Learn which small SUV is right for you by reading our comparison review down below.
2020 Jeep Renegade Power & Handling
Jeep offers the Renegade with not one but two powerful engines. The first comes standard on the Sport and Latitude models. This engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that outputs 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. Standard for the Limited and Trailhawk and optional for all other trims is a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that outputs 177 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. The Trailhawk model also comes standard with a highly capable four-wheel-drive system, hill descent control, a raised suspension, all-terrain tires, tow hooks, and a full-size spare.
2020 Nissan Rogue Sport Power & Handling
There is a single powertrain option for the entire Nissan Rogue Sport lineup. That engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that outputs 141 horsepower and 147 lb-ft of torque. Well, the power numbers are okay, they do feel rather lacking when you’re trying to accelerate onto the highway or from a dead stop. The Rogue Sport uses a continuously variable automatic transmission to shift through the gears. Power is driven through the front wheels unless you opt for the optional all-wheel-drive system.
2020 Jeep Renegade Features & Design
The starting model for the Renegade is the Sport, which comes outfitted with a removable cargo floor panel, cruise control, air conditioning, heated mirrors, and a fold-flat front passenger seat so you can easily store ladders and longer items inside the Renegade. The Latitude models upgrades to roof rails, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, ambient LED lighting, and an additional USB port. With the Limited model, you’ll also get leather upholstery, remote engine start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a 115-volt household-style power outlet. The optional Advanced Technology package comes with automatic high beams, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, an automated parking system, and lane departure warning.
2020 Nissan Rogue SportFeatures & Design
There are three trim levels that make up the Nissan Rogue Sport lineup, and those are the S, SV, and SL. There are also several packages that can be outfitted depending on the trim level. The base S comes with your standard features such as smartphone integration, 60/40-split-folding rear seats, 16-inch steel wheels, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. The SV tacks on roof rails, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated mirrors, and a six-speaker sound system. You can add an All-Weather Package and a Technology Package to the SV model. The SL tops off with leather upholstery, 19-inch wheels, and navigation. The SL Premium package adds a Bose sound system, a sunroof, and LED headlights.
The 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport is rather lackluster compared to the Jeep Renegade. The Rogue Sport has no off-road-oriented trim, minimal features, and is majorly lacking in the power department. Everywhere the Rogue Sport lacks the Renegade delivers! We’re proud to have so many new Jeep Renegade models on our lot for you to choose from, and we can’t wait to bring you out on a test drive.
